Shell Vacations Club timeshare’s newly acquired resort.Shell Vacations timeshare, already home to 25 distinctive resorts across North America, is expanding its resort collect with the acquisition of San Diego’s iconic Park Manor Suites hotel. This historic hotel is located in the Hillcrest community, near Balboa Park and is considered to be the premier, all-suite boutique hotel in the city, which makes it understandably a perfect fit for the Shell Vacations family of resorts.

Known for its neo-renaissance architecture as well as its service and home-away-from-home amenities, this very special property will be rebranded as the: Inn at the Park. Timeshare guests will be able to choose between studios and one- or two-bedroom suites, all with 9-foot ceilings, expansive windows offering amazing views of San Diego.

Shell Vacations Club Timeshare has recently announced the promotion of three senior executives, Susan C, Kelley, William J. Weber, and Jack Chevrier.

Susan C. Kelley has been president of Shell Vacations Hospitality since 2008; she has now been named as president of the points-based Shell Vacations Club, (SVC). Her expanded role includes oversight of Member Servicing & Travel Operations, Inventory & Yield Management, Partner Programs, and SVC Performance Analysis.

William J. Webber has become Shell Vacations new chief financial officer, assuming all the responsibilities of accounting, finance, and taxes for the company and its affiliates and subsidiaries. Weber previously served as Shell Vacations senior vice president of finance and portfolio.

Jack Chevrier has more than 25 years experience in the vacation ownership and timeshare industry. Chevrier has been named executive vice president of sales and marketing for Shell Vacations, responsible for all company sales and marketing operations and strategies; previously he was senior vice president of sales and marketing.

The Board of Directors for the American Resort Development Association’s (ARDA), has voted to unite with Women in the Industry (WIN) for the purpose of strengthening and growing both organizations.

ARDA has officially announced the decision that was made during its Annual Fall Conference held last October in Washington, D.C. Howard Nusbaum, president and CEO of ARDA explains, “WIN’s direction is clearly in alignment with ARDA, especially with our mutual commitment to embrace the diversity within our industry, develop leadership, and contribute to charitable platforms. As we make the transition, there will be benefits for both of our organizations as our goals are clearly complementary. One of the first changes members will see is the institution of a new ARDA Philanthropy Council with WIN Co-President Cathy Backus as chair.”

WIN Co-President Lani Kane-Hanan adds, “As our groups unite, ARDA will incorporate WIN’s operational needs within its existing infrastructure, allowing us to operate more efficiently while furthering our common goals.”
