Melia Hotels Introduces ME Miami Resort

The vacation ownership brand, Melia Hotels International, announced the opening of their first resort in the U.S., the ME Miami. As their first American destination, the new waterfront property marks a milestone in Melia’s history.

CEO and Vice Chairman of Melia Hotels International, Gabriel Escarrer said, “We are incredibly excited about the launch of ME Miami and are thrilled to begin this project in one of the most iconic cities in the United States, with its strategic location and all the offerings the city of Miami has to offer.”

With the help of the private-equity investment manager CGI Merchant Group, the ME Miami will replace the Casa Moderna Hotel. Located at 1100 Biscayne Boulevard, the resort is in one of Miami’s trendiest areas. The new ME Miami is located is just moments away from the new Miami World center shopping district, restaurants, and clubs.

The resort itself will offer 129 guest rooms, restaurants, event space, and two rooftop swimming pools. All guest rooms and public areas will be completed renovated to fit Melia’s signature style. This renovation includes a remodeling of the resort’s spa.

One of the most anticipated additions to the resort will be the renowned STK steakhouse. The restaurant will be the 9th location in this prestigious restaurant’s lineup, with other locations in some of the world’s best dining destinations including L.A., Las Vegas, and NYC.
