ARDA, the American Resort Development Association, Trustee Retreat
Monday, June 25, 2012
This year’s American Resort Development Association (ARDA) Trustee Retreat begins tomorrow, June 26-27, 2012. The Retreat is being held at the Four Seasons Hotel, in Washington, DC.
Each year, ARDA Trustees meet at an invitation-only event.
The 2012 ARDA Trustee Retreat Schedule of Events
The schedule, as of the most recent update last month, calls for Tuesday’s activities to commence with the HR Council meeting, followed by LARPAC, and at noon, the General Counsel Council. Tuesday afternoon’s agenda includes the ARDA-ROC Executive Committee, the Executive Committee Meeting, and the Board of Directors Meeting.
At 6PM, there will be a Reception, followed by dinner and entertainment by “The Capitol Steps”. The Capitol Steps bill themselves as, “the only group in Washington that attempts to be funnier than Congress.”
On Wednesday, all events take place on Capitol Hill, starting with an 8 AM breakfast with Keynote Speaker Mark Halperin. Halpern is the Senior Political Analyst for Time Magazine, Time.com and MSNBC, as well as the author of the best-selling book Game Change. Halperin also serves as a board member on the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College.
During the morning, Trustee attendees will hear from Washington DC’s hottest policy makers and power brokers on the current state of the economy, the issues facing the timeshare and vacation ownership industry, and the upcoming presidential election.
Afternoon activities include attendee’s choice of either a VIP Insider Tour of a DC landmark, or spending the afternoon lobbying on Capitol Hill. The American Resort Development Association will facilitate a meeting with each attendee’s US Representative in Congress at the attendee’s request.
The primary sponsor for the 2012 ARDA Trustee Retreat is First American Title Insurance Company, Vacation Ownership Services.
