Here’s an update on timeshare and travel industry news that looks at the recent sponsorship by Travel To Go of a very special eventto help support Funds for Freedom, and veterans services non-profit organization.
Travel To Go was the proud sponsor of the Bud Light Kern River Rock ‘n Blues Fest, presented by RIP CAT Records, in Kernville CA from September 28-29, 2012.
Travel To Go sponsored a VIP party on Friday, September 28, that featured Johnny Mastro & the Mamas Boys, barbeque and drinks. Guests had the opportunity to meet the artist and sponsor during the event. Proceeds of the event will support the future construction of the Bakersfield National Cemetery Memorial Walkway.
The Bakersfield National Cemetery is the last resting place of many national heroes and the walkway will be a place where the families, friends and comrades of the fallen can reflect on the lives of those that have been lost. Set in a beautiful, natural landscape, Bakersfield National Cemetery in the White Wolf area of the Tehachapi Mountains is nestled amidst wide-open stretches, mountain vistas and rolling grazing land where both cattle and camels once roamed.
According to Orion Sanders, President of Funds For Freedom, Inc., a non-profit 501-c (3) that raises money for veteran and children’s causes, because of the sponsorship of Travel To Go, the producers of the Bud Light Rock ‘n Blues Fest were able to keep the cost of putting on the event low, thus helping raise over $6,000.00 for the worthy cause. He added that “without sponsors like Travel To Go, this event would not be possible.”
Travel To Go continues to be a supporter of veteran’s causes. The company previously sponsored the “Right to Ride Free Poker Run”, and numerous other events that have provided funding for various Wounded Warrior Projects.
