Jeanette Bunn, travel industry professional and President of  Travel To Go is spearheading fundraising for C.A.R.E., the Cooperative Association of Resort Exchangers. C.A.R.E.is a trade association established in 1985 by representatives of timeshare resorts who found that by exchanging vacation inventory among themselves, they were better able to satisfy timeshare owners by offering expanded vacation opportunities. Through Jeanette’s efforts to raise marketing funds for a C.A.R.E, she has helped generate more than $150,000 for the organization.

C.A.R.E. President Alain Carr said, “It is impossible to ever pay enough tribute to Jeanette Bunn for all of her years of service and dedication to our organization. In addition to her dynamic energy and the industry insights that she shares with her fellow Board members, it was Jeanette, 7 years ago, who started C.A.R.E.’s auction, which to date has raised over $150,000!” Carr adds, “I am not sure anyone else could have ever done that well. We are very fortunate to have Jeanette as a part of our C.A.R.E. family.”

Jeanette first began serving C.A.R.E. in the role of Vice President in 2005. Since that time, she has been an integral part of fundraising strategies and endeavors for C.A.R.E.’s Silent Auctions, starting with the first one that was held in San Francisco, California in 2005. Each year, with her guidance the auction grows, evolving from a silent auction to a live auction and super raffle. Sometimes, Jeanette even serves as auctioneer, although she frequently recruits other professionals in the industry to serve in this role as well.

Over the years, Jeanette Bunn has led C.A.R.E. fundraising with donation drives, campaigns to promote the auction, and the purchase of donated items. Already in the planning is C.A.R.E.’s 16th Silent/Live Auction and Super Raffle to be held during the organization’s 56th Semi-Annual conference in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, from April 20-23, 2013 at the Springmaid Beach Resort.
