Sell My Timeshare NOW and VacationOwnership.com were proud to be able to help the Dover Children’s Home, making the holidays brighter for some New Hampshire teenagers. Our staff worked together, finding ways to raise money for donations including bake sales and chili cook-off.

Just before the holidays, they were able to deliver to Dover Children’s Home a donation of $1680, a dozen $10 Wal-Mart gift cards, and a number of tote bags filled with household items. Donna Coraluzzo, Executive director of the Dover Children’s Home said, “The children were thrilled to find the Wal-Mart gift cards in their Christmas stockings!”

Dover Children’s Home works with teens ages 12-18, helping enhance family relationship. For young adults ages 16 to 20, Dover Children’s Home offers a residential program called PILOT House Independent Living Program. Located in Dover, New Hampshire, where our company Sell My Timeshare NOW and VacationOwnership.com has had offices for many years, Dover Children’s Home has been serving the children and teens in need since 1893.

About the holiday season, Dover Children’s Home says, “Christmas and Thanksgiving at the Home can be tricky. Some children have memories of abuse and chaos around the holidays. Others feel guilty that they’re receiving gifts when they know their siblings at home will go without that year. It’s a delicate balance of teaching the children how to develop rituals and routines to celebrate the holiday season while respecting the fact that holidays aren’t always a time of peace and celebration for many in our care.”

For our team at Sell My Timeshare and VacationOwnership.com, we are humbly honored to have helped in even a small way this program that does so much. For example, consider the young female resident who volunteered at an area hospital while she was part of Dover Children’s Home and later went on to become a nurse, thanks to a scholarship program arrange by a past board member of Dover Children’s Home. Today, the former resident holds an RN degree and is a licensed mid-wife who helps deliver babies at the same hospital where she once volunteered.

Stories like this, and many, many others explain how Dover Children’s Home is helping to heal hearts, restore hope, and change lives.
