Classic Holidays’ Gail O’Neill Nominated for Award

Gail O’Neill of Classic Holidays has been nominated for the 2013 Gold Coast Women in Business Award.
Gail was nominated for her work with the Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce, where she served for 10 years as the Chamber Executive on the Southern Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce, before moving to her current position as Chair in 2010. Additional contributions include two years as VP of the Gold Coast Combined Chamber of Commerce and a board member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the Queensland regional board.
Classic Holidays Chief Operating Officer, Carole Smith says, “Classic Holidays is proud to call Gail one of our own; her enthusiasm and involvement in bettering the Southern Gold Coast business community, and the tourism industry in general, is remarkable.”
Gail has worked for many years as the Manager of Classic’s Beach House Seaside Resort timeshare and helped with the event Cooly Rocks on Festival. The Cooly Festival is held annually in Coolangatta and has quickly become the most popular event in town, for both locals and tourists.
Gold Coast Women in Business Awards
The Women in business awards were created to honor business woman and innovators in their given industries. The founders of the event hope these awards will support and empower women to continue to be positive role models for all women.
Awarded annually, women can be nominated for seven awards each year:

• Community Dedication Award
• Innovation Award
• Young Business Women’s Award (18-30 years old)
• Empowering Young Women’s Award (15-25 years old)
• Women for Change
