David C. Gilbert Appointed as New President of Interval International

The Interval Leisure Group (ILG) has announced that David C. Gilbert will become the new President of their timeshare exchange program, Interval International. The change will take effect September 1, 2014.
Previously, Gilbert worked as Interval ‘s Executive VP of Resort Sales and Marketing, where he played a crucial role in building Interval International’s affiliated resort network. Gilbert was also instrumental in creating new marketing programs for major Interval products and programs.
During this time he was a trustee of ARDA, the ARDA International Foundation, and the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association Education Foundation. In addition to these accomplishments Gilbert also organized the founding of the Shared Ownership Investment Conferences, which are now hosted across the globe.
Gilbert will now report to ILG’s chairman, president, and CEO Craig M. Nash.
Nash said, “Over his 25-year career, David has played a pivotal role in Interval’s sales and marketing success, as well as in creating new business opportunities. His proven track record and leadership skills will be invaluable in overseeing this business unit, while I continue to concentrate on broadening ILG’s footprint and driving shareholder value.”
ILG’s COO, Jeanette Marbert added, “As I expand my focus on helping to execute ILG’s strategic plan and optimize cross-functional efficiencies, I am confident that David’s knowledge of the company and the industry will serve him well as he takes on the day-to-day responsibilities at Interval.”
As President of Interval International, Gilbert will direct Interval’s global business strategy including member engagement, client relationships, and enhancing the overall value of the brand.
Gilbert shared, “I am very excited to head such a talented and dedicated group. I look forward to working with everyone on the team, to take Interval International into the future.”
