The Margaritaville Vacation Club resort in St. Thomas is almost complete. As the resort finishes the development stage, they have begun another important process, hiring employees.

The resort began recruiting new employees last week at the Virgin Islands Labor Department’s career fair. Right now, Wyndham representatives are focusing on hiring management talent. Communications Manager for Wyndham Vacation Ownership, Lindsay Graham, stated that the resort currently has about 60 positions open during this phase of the resort’s launch.

The Margaritaville Vacation Club representatives attended the job fair looking to fill a variety of positions. The resort is currently recruiting for the following positions: assistant resort manager, housekeeping manager and assistant manager, housekeeping supervisor, guest services manager and assistant manager, maintenance assistant manager, guest services manager and assistant manager, guest services supervisor, evening operations manager, and activities manager.

The new resort is currently undergoing $40 million worth of renovations. Construction is expected to be completed early next year and the resort will open in the spring of 2015.
