Club Intrawest Builds Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Club Intrawest

It seems like we hear of a timeshare company adding new and innovative technology to their resorts almost on a daily basis, but this is a first. This week Club Intrawest announced that they have installed electric vehicle charging stations at the their Tremblant property in Quebec.

These chargers are the first of five sets to be built across Club Intrawest’s timeshare locations. In addition to the Tremblant location, Club Intrawest plans to install charging stations at their properties in Whistler, British Columbia; Sandestin, Florida; Blue Mountain, Ontario; and Palm Desert, California.

Each charging station will feature a ClipperCreek HCS-40 universal charger that will charge almost all electric vehicles. These stations will also offer a Tesla Wall Connector for the Tesla electric vehicles, as they require a unique charger. To charge a vehicle, guests will plug in their car and use a 17” touch screen to set their charger settings.

Club Intrawest members and guests can use these charging ports as part of their complimentary amenities package.

VP of Member Experience, Robert Reyes shared, “We are excited to offer this new amenity to our Members and guests. This is the next evolution of our Thinking Green program where we strive to provide extraordinary vacation experiences while lowering our environmental imprint. Enabling our Members to visit the Club driving electric vehicles certainly helps us achieve our mission.”

Besides providing better service to their members, Club Intrawest hopes to appeal to new, tech savvy travelers. To introduce these travelers to Club Intrawest, the Tremblant resort will host a driving team from Tesla Motors on March 14th and 15th. During this time, resort guests can test drive Tesla electric vehicles—and learn more about vacation ownership.

Club Intrawest is in the process of updating the additional four resorts, and plans to complete these charging ports in the next few months. To learn more about Club Intrawest, visit
