RCI Sponsors 13th Annual Christel House Open to Drive Out Poverty

For the 9th consecutive year, RCI will be the title sponsor for the Christel House Open International Charity Golf Tournament. The charity event will benefit Christel House and their mission to break the cycle of poverty.
Established in 1998, Christel House provides programming and education to help impoverished children around the world. Through their international schools, Christel House supports children from “kindergarten through job placement” to become strong, functioning members of society.
President of RCI, Gordon Gurnik, shared,
“Christel House transforms the lives of disadvantaged children by giving them the tools and opportunities they need to progress, and we are honored and humbled to be a small part of this work. Last year’s tournament raised nearly $800,000. With the support of our timeshare and hospitality colleagues, we hope to exceed that amount in 2015 to help even more children get the services and care they need and deserve.”
Golfers, sponsors, and volunteers are all invited to attend the 13th annual event and support Christel House International. The event is comprised of 12 individual golf tournaments. The first tournament was recently held in Scottsdale, Arizona on March 26th, 2015 and the remaining tournaments will take place now through June. Events will be held around the world, in locations such as Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Oxfordshire, England.
RCI has been an active sponsor for Christel House since their establishment. In fact, Christel DeHaan, the co-founder of RCI, also created Christel House. DeHaan currently serves as the charity’s CEO.
