Diamond Resorts Cabo Azul Announces Re-Opening
Friday, August 28, 2015
Diamond Resorts International® has announced that they will reopen the Cabo Azul Resort & Spa on September 1, 2015. The resort has been closed for 11 months following Hurricane Odile in September 2014.
Although the resort was damaged during the hurricane, the property has been renovated and is back in pristine condition. All buildings and the surrounding grounds were repaired while the property was closed.
President and CEO of Diamond Resorts International®, David Palmer said, “We have worked very hard to restore Cabo Azul to its world-class status, and we are thrilled that the resort is open to once again provide our members, owners and guests with exceptional experiences that truly help them Stay Vacationed.™.”
In September, Diamond Resorts will reopen 154 timeshare villas, two restaurants (Flor de Noche and Javier’s), the PAZ spa, the fitness center, and the cafe.
Diamond has also added a Beach Club area with a wooden deck at the edge of the beach. The new club has a bar, beachfront cabanas, and an outdoor shower area where guests can rinse off before heading to the resort’s tri-level infinity pool. The timeshare resort is also building 172 new guest units and an exclusive member lounge to open later this year.
In addition to structural renovations, Diamond has also provided new furniture throughout the resort. Members will also be pleased to learn that the fitness center has been updated with the latest equipment and all the room locks have been improved with new technology.
While these renovations took place, the Diamond Resorts International Foundation (DRIF) donated $100,000 to Diamond resorts Cabo Azul Resort employees and the community to help them recover from the disaster.
