Grupo Vidanta, Mexico’s top resort operator and tourism developer, just partnered with Hakkasan Group to invest $150 million into brand new beach clubs, nightlife venues, restaurants, and hotels at the popular Vidanta Resorts. These resorts are located on the most sought-after beaches in Mexico. The new concept assets will enhance the country’s diverse tourism, thanks to Hakkasan Group’s leading world-style entertainment.

The partnership formed when Daniel Chávez Morán went to the Middle East and met with Hakkasan Group. They discussed bringing new hospitality ventures to Mexico, and are now investing in these ideas together to bring them to fruition.

“Our latest collaboration with the world-renowned Hakkasan Group further exemplifies our long-term vision and ongoing commitment to progressing the growth of tourism in Mexico and evolving the Vidanta brand,” said Iván Chávez, Executive Vice President of Grupo Vidanta.

This partnership is a long-term commitment that will provide three brand new concepts at the end of 2017, including two restaurants and a beach club at Vidanta Los Cabos. Over the following five years, Hakkasan Group will bring a new entertainment venue to a different Vidanta property each year. They will also introduce a brand new hotel with Grupo Vidanta.

Grupo Vidanta is striving to expand and bring new innovative experiences to various destinations across Mexico. Forging partnerships with a world-renowned brand plays a big part of that in order to offer more diverse tourism. The Hakkasan Group partnership will help them bring world-class amenities to Mexico, and this will ultimately benefit both parties.

Hakkasan Group President, Nick McCabe commented, “As Hakkasan Group’s first venture into Mexico, we are delighted to partner with Grupo Vidanta—a company which shares our vision of unparalleled service, quality and experience. This partnership is the next step in Hakkasan Group’s ambitious global growth strategy and will position our business for further expansion across the region, via both our current portfolio of brands and new concept developments.”
