The Resort at Longboat Key Club Debuts $1.8 Million in Renovations

Florida’s beautiful beachfront property, Resort at Longboat Key Club, recently underwent expansive renovations. Guests can now enjoy the perpetual sunshine and customizable service with chaise lounges, private cabanas, and sheltering umbrellas atop pristine white sand.

The $1.8 million dollar renovation project moved 49,990 tons of sand to the beachfront, expanding the end of the island back to its original expanse. The sand will bridge the gap to the sandbars to provide miles of habitable beach that stretches out into the Gulf of Mexico. 2,250 truckloads of fine grade sand were delivered to the barrier island over the course of four weeks. The sand replaces all that was lost due to natural erosion and the summer storms in Florida.

We took this opportunity to replace all of the beach furniture, add some new watersports equipment and even create a special play area for young children so parents can relax and keep an eye on the little ones. New tiki huts adorn the beach, and services include cocktail and food delivery right to your cabana or lounge chairs. The Resort at Longboat Key Club was just recently named a top 10 Gulf Coast getaway by the readers of Condé Nast. Tennis Resorts Online also named the Tennis Gardens, the resort’s tennis center featuring 20 playable courts, as one of the top 10 tennis facilities in the world in 2016.
