The Canadian Resort Development Association (CRDA) has undergone a rebrand to better reflect their commitment to the Canadian vacation ownership community. Now known as the Canadian Vacation Ownership Association, the association will continue to not only represent the resort development industry, but the greater timeshare ownership industry as a whole.

The Canadian Resort Development Association has represented the interests of Canada’s vacation ownership and resort development communities for more than 30 years. Membership within the organization has resulted in a community of industry leaders that promote the growth of the vacation ownership industry through ethical and beneficial networking practices. The CVOA will continue that mission, but will also focus on renewing their advocacy efforts and driving further growth and member outreach throughout North America.

Jon Zwickel, president and CEO of CVOA, said:

“Our board conducted numerous surveys amongst our members and determined that we represent the entire Vacation Ownership industry, not just the resort developers. Many of our members are management companies and others are vendors and service companies that help resorts and resort companies on various levels. The name change more clearly reflects who we are and who we advocate for.”

In addition, CRDA’s annual convention will also be rebranded as the Vacation Ownership Conference to reflect the new CVOA brand name. The 2017 conference will be held in Whistler, British Columbia, in September.
