Westgate Resorts is continuing their tradition of honoring military personnel and their families and Gold Star families by giving away 1,000 free vacations for the sixth year in a row. This year, the free getaways will be part of a weekend-long celebration at Westgate Town Center in Orlando, Florida from May 5-7, 2017.

Included in the free Orlando trip are accommodations in a large villa, access to activities and events such as live entertainment, and a pair of passes to Westgate Town Center’s Shipwreck Island waterpark. Additionally, all eligible personnel will have access to a variety of resources that support veterans. These services include Mission United, Camaraderie Foundation, and The Mission Continues—all offering help and assistance for veterans with acclimation to civilian life, PTSD, and more.

“We owe so much to our U.S. military and their families. Our desire is to give those active military personnel who have served in combat a chance to spend some quality time with their loved ones,” said CEO of Westgate Resorts, David Siegel. “Dedicating a special weekend to these men and women who have served on the front lines allows us to really go all out and give them and their families the special attention and recognition they deserve.”

The weekend will end with a concert featuring Grammy Award-winning country music artist, Lee Greenwood. During the concert, the Westgate Resorts Foundation will announce a donation to three military nonprofit organizations.

In addition to the 1,000 free vacations, Westgate Resorts will offer a 25% savings on Veteran’s Day for accommodations within their network of 28 properties for all U.S. military veterans.

There are 3,5000 guests expected for this upcoming weekend with families and veterans representing over 40 states across the U.S.. For more information on Westgate Resorts and their programs and discounts for military members and veterans, visit their official website.
