Welk Resorts Receives Two Prestigious ARDA Awards

Welk Resorts was recognized with high honors at the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) World 2017 convention and expo. ARDA awarded Welk Resorts, a leader in the vacation ownership and hospitality industry, two coveted awards including their ARDA Circle of Excellence (ACE) Innovator Award and an award in the Management & Administration Division category.

The ARDA Awards Program represents the highest level of excellence within the resort industry. Resorts that receive ARDA awards are recognized for their extraordinary service, amenities, and creating an overall unrivaled experience for their guests.

The ACE Innovator Award Developer Division was given to Welk Resorts’ Strategic Solutions division. Led by CIO Ira Kristol amongst other top leaders, Welk Resorts was recognized for the creation of a number of forward-looking products and technologies that brought the brand to the forefront of innovation within the industry.

The award for the Management & amp;Administration Division recognized the INSPIRED FOR YOU activities program at Welk Resorts. Led by Chief Fun Officer (CFO) Patrick Dolan, the resort offers guests a variety of industry-first activities both on- and off-site. Welk Resorts offers activities such as a Victorian-inspired escape room challenge, a guided tasting of San Diego’s craft beer industry, a virtual reality room, and on-demand 3D printing.

In Tahoe, guests can join the “Ski with a Local” program, which pairs advanced skiers and snowboarders with locals who are familiar with the Northstar terrain. In San Jose del Cabo, guests will enjoy a tailored tour which includes artisan tequila tasting and a gallery walk.
