Resort Travel & Xchange, known as RTX, has expanded their reach into North America even further by partnering with the Mexican Resort Development Association (AMDETUR). AMDETUR was established in 1987 and works to promote growth and development of the vacation ownership industry in Mexico.

The partnership of RTX and AMDETUR will allow RTX to have a stronger footprint in Mexico. The country has seen an incredible influx of tourism and RTX wants to give their members more options to visit vacation ownership properties there.

AMDETUR is a connection between the municipal, state, and federal governments and the private business sector of the vacation ownership industry. As such, they play a crucial role in the development of the vacation ownership industry. They represent 90 percent of the resort developers and investors in the Mexico vacation ownership field of travel.

RTX will be attending their first AMDETUR Conference in Mexico City on June 12-14 at the Hotel Westin Santa Fe. This will allow RTX to connect with various resort developers throughout Mexico while they work to extend vacation opportunities to their 80,000 and growing members worldwide.

Justin Hunter, vice president of operations for RTX, commented:

“It’s become clear over the last few years that Mexico has been burgeoning as a prime destination for timeshare resorts, and by partnering with AMDETUR, RTX will be able to provide our members with the best exchange options for Mexican vacations.”
