Mahindra Holidays to Expand Network With Potential Overseas Purchases

Club Mahindra

Mahindra Holidays is one of the world’s leading vacation ownership companies and doesn’t plan on stopping. The brand has announced its plans to grow as it works towards acquisitions in different countries to expand its resort network. Currently, Mahindra Resorts has a strong presence in Dubai, Kenya, and Sri Lanka with potential market growth in upcoming years.

These acquisitions would grow their already impressive portfolio. The Club Mahindra brand purchased 95% of Finland’s Holiday Club resorts in 2015, which brings their resort portfolio to over 50 resorts in sought-after destinations like Bangkok, Spain, Sweden, Singapore, and Malaysia. They hope this decision will allow their company to tap into the NRI segment and interest vacationers to holiday with them back home.

Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Managing Director and CEO Kavinder Singh stated:

“We are planning for more resorts not only in India but internationally. We are looking at acquisitions in South East Asia, Western Europe and even America if we can. We believe that we are uniquely positioned to create a global company by acquiring resorts internationally and also acquiring customers internationally. We want to acquire because there is an opportunity to add members and create unparalleled network of resorts.”

Mahindra Holidays is projected to see healthy growth in the next year following its successful 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 numbers. The company is implementing a capital investment plan, which will provide them a new capacity of 500 additional units. This expansion is scheduled to be complete in 2-3 years. At that time, Mahindra will announce where its future vacation ownership opportunities will be located.
