Disney Riviera Resort Has Begun Accepting Guest Reservations for December 2019

Disney Vacation Club Timeshare

Disney Vacation Club’s newest and 15th property inspired by Walt Disney’s travels and European Riviera will be ready for guests at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida as early as December 2019.

With a focus on 20th-century design mixed with a modern European style Riviera Resort Disney will welcome its guests on their boulevard lined with palm trees, grand archways, porticos, waterfall features, terraces, and the immaculate towers that hold their various accommodations. The property offers stunning lakefront views and a blend of furnishings that connect the European Riviera inspiration and Disney’s resort style.

DVC’s Senior Vice President and General Manager Terri Schultz was excited to talk about the resort:

“Disney’s Riviera Resort is inspired by Walt and Lillian Disney’s travels throughout Europe and the Mediterranean coastline —from France to Italy. Walt fell in love with European art, architecture, food and stories, and his extended tours of the region continue to influence Disney storytelling and theming. We look forward to welcoming our members and guests later this year to this new resort inspired by Europe and imagined by Disney.”

Inside this grand structure are around 300 studio, one- and two-bedroom villas, and grand villas that families can utilize during their stay that sleep anywhere from 2-12 guests. Included in these units are top-notch finishes, private balconies, some with fully equipped kitchens, and a plethora of one-of-a-kind Disney character artworks that were created specifically for this resort’s theme and the Riviera region’s heritage.

On the property’s rooftop sits their newest table-service restaurant, Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera. Their menu will consist of a mixture of authentic Italian and French dishes, a collection of Mediterranean wines, a one-of-a-kind view of the fireworks offered at nearby Epcot and Hollywood Studios, and the option for a breakfast character dining experience. In addition to Topolino’s, guests can also visit the lobby’s Le Petit Cafe for coffee in the morning or wine in the evening, Primo Piatto for a quick bite to eat, and the poolside Bar Riva where they can grab a refreshing drink.

Lastly, guests will have the chance to enjoy the new mode of transportation available to Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Disney Skyliner is the property’s new gondola system that will begin operation in fall 2019. It will connect Disney Riviera Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort to the Hollywood Studios and Epcot parks.

As the first stand-alone DVC resort created at Walt Disney World since 2004, vacation ownership sales will begin current DVC members will have the opportunity to book from the resort’s protected member inventory around the same time as the announcement of the resort’s official opening date. In addition, current owners will also have an exclusive window to purchase a timeshare at the resort.

Disclaimer: It’s important to note recent changes in the DVC’s resale restrictions will impact future resale owners. Any DVC resales purchased after January 19, 2019 at one of the original 14 DVC resorts will not be able to utilize their points to book at the new Riviera or Reflections resorts. Similarly, Riviera and Reflections resale owners will only be able to use their points to book at their Home Resort.
