Last week, Sunset World Resorts & Vacation Experiences celebrated the holidays with a festive boat parade off the coast of Mexico.

Sunset World employees, members, celebrities, and other guests enjoyed the annual parade of boats and a fantastic holiday evening. In attendance were many local celebrities, including Renato López from Zona Trendy E! Entertainment Television, Krystof Raczynski, Johana Erubry de Anda, and Alexandra Ivanisevic.

The parade began at the Sunset Admiral Yacht Club & Marina, traveled down the Laguna Nichupté, before circling back to the Marina for the rest of the evening.

After the parade, guests enjoyed a VIP party with music, acrobatic displays, and a fireworks finale. Invitees were also treated to a special Flyboard performance. Here, experts demonstrated the innovative new water sport that Sunset World guests can actually try themselves at the resort.

CEO of Sunset World Resorts & Vacation Experiences, Orlando Arroyo Marrioquin took a moment to graciously thank their local sponsors, Cancun industry professionals, and the community for their help and participation in the event. Boat parade sponsors included: Cenacolo, Bubba Gump, Aquatours, La Destileia, Xbaal, La Vaquita, Outback Steakhouse, Maragritaville, Pueto Madero, Bandoneor, Camalache, Energy Fitness, Café Blasón, Cocoa-Cola, and CRAD. Sunset World also collaborated with the Cancun CVB and the Public Relations Association of the Mexican Caribbean for promotion of the event.

Attendees were also informed that a social media contest will be held for fans to vote for their favorite boat on Sunset World’s Facebook page. Voting is now underway and will be open until December 16th, 2013.

As we previously discussed on The Timeshare Authority, the charity golf tournament will allow amateurs to play alongside celebrity athletes through a tournament and clinic. All proceeds will benefit The Walt Disney Pavilion at the Florida Hospital for Children. Brian Gay, a PGA tour professional, has partnered with Diamond Resorts International® to host the event. Today is the first day of the golf invitational, which will run through Sunday afternoon.

In other exciting news, Diamond announced that country music star and former Hootie and the Blowfish singer Darius Rucker will headline the musical performances at the invitational. Musical guests will perform Saturday evening, following the end of the tournament. Before special guest Darius Rucker forms solo, he will reunite with the original members of Hootie and the Blowfish. Bassist Dean Felber, lead guitarist Mark Bryan, and Creed drummer Scott Phillips will team up with Rucker for an unforgettable performance.

Interval International has announced a new partnership with Translations.com to provide interpretations to their international clients.

While Translations.com has worked with Interval Internal (II) since 2010, this week they have announced a partnership to expand their services to include project management software. As the world’s second largest timeshare exchange company, Interval International serves over 2 million members worldwide — creating a great need for multilingual services.

The new partnership will introduce Translations.com’s GlobalLink OneLink and GlobalLink Translation & Review Portal to II’s websites. GlobalLink OneLink provides the ability to launch multilingual websites quickly and easily. The program reduces the need for technical assistance and will automatically update existing sites. GlobalLink Translation & Review Portal will allow Interval’s team to manage these projects all on one system.

Interval International’s VP of E–commerce, Madeline Berges said, “With members and affiliates around the globe, we needed a solution that would allow us to frequently update content while seamlessly keeping all of our language websites in perfect sync.
