Marriott Vacations Worldwide

Marriott Vacations Worldwide has just announced its plan to bring a new vacation ownership property to Waikiki. In their proposal, the company outlines a seven-story building on Honolulu’s south shore which will feature a mix of around 110 studio and one-bedroom accommodations and two floors of retail space. Amenities for the resort will include a pool, a fitness center, a bar, and a 10,000-square-foot on-site sales gallery.

Marriott Vacations President and CEO Stephen P. Weisz was excited to talk about this latest project development:

“Waikiki has always been a dream vacation spot for our Owners and guests. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to share with them the beauty and excitement of Honolulu and, especially, Waikiki. With this latest proposed location, we continue to pursue our strategic growth plan of delivering important sales distribution locations and exceptional properties in highly desired destinations.”

Since opening Marriott’s beautiful Kauai Beach Club in 1995, the company has been dedicated to providing incredible Hawaiian vacation experiences to its Owners and guests. Currently, the company offers 12 resort options in Hawaii under Marriott Vacation Club, Sheraton Vacation Club, Hyatt Residence Club, and Westin Vacation Club on some of the state’s most popular islands like Maui, the Big Island, Kauai, and Oahu.

Waikiki Beach has been noted by U.S. News & World Report as the #1 “Best Thing To Experience in Honolulu” which will be less than a 10-minute walk from the proposed property located on Kalakaua Avenue, one of the island’s well-known retail areas. The resort has an anticipated opening in late 2022.
