You Can’t Have a C.A.R.E. Conference Without Travel To Go

You just can’t have a C.A.R.E. Conference without Travel To Go. And once again, Travel To Go,  a leading provider of travel services and vacation club products, has confirmed that it will be part of the 57th Semi-Annual C.A.R.E. Conference.

Participating as an  Amethyst Sponsor and Media MarketPlace participant, Travel To Go will help make the timeshare and vacation ownership industry conference, which is being held in the wine country of Santa Rosa, California, even better for all who attend.

C.A.R.E. (Cooperative Association of Resort Exchangers) is a trade association established in 1985. Founded by representatives of timeshare resorts who sought to exchange vacation ownership inventory among themselves, C.A.R.E. helps utilize inventory and generate revenue through wholesale rentals, while continuing to offer expanded exchange and fulfillment options.

Over the years, (since 1991) Jeanette Bunn and the Travel To Go team have been key to the success of C.A.R.E.’s Silent and Live Auctions and Super Raffles. Their efforts helped raise more than $210,000 during the last conference in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and collectively helped raise over $175,000 for C.A.R.E.’s marketing efforts during Bunn’s tenure as Co-Chair of Marketing/Revenue Generation Committee.

Jeanette explains, Travel To Go hopes to“solidify inventory opportunities at the conference.” She adds, “it is always the goal to help any fellow C.A.R.E. Members that need help with inventory acquisitions and to help them move their inventory, as well as offering our product to distributors.”

The 57th Semi-Annual C.A.R.E. Conference will be held at the Hilton Sonoma Wine Country, in Santa Rosa, California, on September 28 through October 1, 2013.

This year’s 57th Semi-Annual C.A.R.E. (Cooperative Association of Resort Exchangers)  Conference heads to the wine country of California. Scheduled for September 28-October 1, 2013, the C.A.R.E. Conference  for the timeshare and vacation ownership industry will be held at the Hilton Sonoma Wine Country in Santa Rosa.

With a Saturday kick-off that will include a website workshop and the launch of a  new website, an invitation-only reception for conference sponsors, and a 50/50 Raffle to benefit the marketing efforts of C.A.R.E. and its Exhibitor MarketPlace, the conference will start strong. But that’s only the beginning.

Scheduled for Sunday, September 29, are:

  • The renowned “Roll Call of C.A.R.E. Members” during which participating companies will have their  15 minutes of time dedicated to company promotion during the general session.
  • The Exhibitor MarketPlaces, which will also continue throughout the day on Monday.
  • An “Evening of Recognition” to be held at the Hilton Sonoma Wine Country to recognize conference sponsors and new C.A.R.E. company members.

Throughout the day on Monday, attendees can choose additional educational, networking and Media MarketPlace sessions, all leading up to Monday evening’s tour of the area and an evening at Annadeles Estates Winery. Tuesday will include an opportunity for C.A.R.E. members to volunteer their time through, the “C.A.R.E. Gives Back Event” at F.I.S.H. (Friends in Sonoma Helping) where volunteers will join together to paint a community food pantry.

President Alain Carr encourages attendance from anyone in the timeshare and vacation ownership industry or field that supports those industries, saying “Anyone that has ever attended a C.A.R.E. conference knows it’s something special. Whether you are brand new to the industry, or have been around for a while there is nowhere better and no better people to share ideas with. There’s no better place to get to know industry leaders and learn new things that are going on in the industry than a C.A.R.E. conference.”

Congratulations to Jeanette! It comes as no surprise to anyone that Jeanette Bunn, President and CEO of Travel To Go, has been nominated for San Diego Magazine’s Woman of the Year Award. Jeanette is a leader in the timeshare vacation and travel industry, setting high standards for her company and high standards for herself as a business professional who both leads and serves.

Each year, San Diego Magazine sets out to recognize exemplary women of leadership, calling it “Women Who Move the City.” Jeanette and other nominees will be profiled in a special section in the September issue of San Diego Magazine and will be honored at an evening event on September 24, 2013.

Jeanette says, “This is an opportunity to share what we do and our focus on helping others to benefit from the joys of vacationing. I am honored to be named among the top women in our city.”

The Jeanette everyone in timeshare and vacation ownership knows and loves is a busy lady, growing the company she founded; serving on the ARDA (American Resort Development Association) Travel Club Task force to identify, examine, and explain existing travel club business models; leading, mentoring, and inspiring others in the San Diego community, and serving actively in timeshare, vacation, and travel industry associations including  C.A.R.E., and Send Me On Vacation.

How about a round of well-deserved applause for Jeanette!

Once again, members of C.A.R.E. (Cooperative Association of Resort Exchangers) are actively sharing their time, passions, and talents through a meaningful community service project. Following the recent spring C.A.R.E. Conference in Myrtle Beach, the timeshare, vacation ownership, and vacation industry organization members volunteered to clean classrooms and restrooms at The Boys and Girls Club of the Grand Strand.

Don Hall, Executive Director of the youth organization says, “Volunteers are critical to our success. It is great to have groups such as C.A.R.E. come in and make a difference to the children that we serve.”

Timeshare, Vacation Ownership, and Vacation Industry C.A.R.E. Gives Back

Through a volunteer program called, “C.A.R.E. Gives Back,” timeshare, vacation ownership, and vacation industry C.A.R.E. members support programs in resort communities that serve the vacationing public. The C.A.R.E. project in Myrtle Beach helped maintain the Boys and Girls Club facility, which provides after-school and summer camp programs for children who may not otherwise have adult supervision.  Boys and Girls Clubs are a safe place to learn and grow no matter their circumstances at home or in their immediate neighborhood.

The next C.A.R.E. project will be a volunteer event at the conclusion of the 57th Semi-Annual C.A.R.E Conference held at Hilton Sonoma Wine Country, Santa Rosa, California from September 28-October 1, 2013. C.A.R.E. was established in 1985, and is considered to be one of the timeshare and vacation industry’s premier trade associations.
