Twenty hotels operated by privately-held HEI Hotels & Resorts were hit by a data breach earlier this year, possibly exposing guests’ credit card data. HEI reported on Sunday that tens of thousands of transactions at Starwood, Marriott, Hyatt, and IHG properties could have been exposed to malware found on HEI’s systems. [Read more…]

The ARDA International Foundation (AIF) recently announced that the U.S. timeshare industry contributed more than $79.5 billion in consumer and business spending to the American economy in 2015. Those numbers also include more than 500,000 jobs and $28.1 billion in salaries and wages. [Read more…]

The Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto was recently recognized by Wine Spectator with an Award of Excellence for their restaurant’s wine list. Danzante Fine Dining, a steakhouse at the Villa del Palmar, earned the distinction on behalf of the resort. The resort and restaurant is featured in Wine Spectator’s 2016 Restaurant Wine List Awards.
