Westgate Resorts Names Jim Gissy as Chief Executive Officer

Westgate Resorts has named longtime company executive Jim Gissy Chief Executive Officer. This was made effective on March 5, 2024. Company Founder, David Siegel, will remain Executive Board Chairman and President. He will also continue to be the leader in all major company decision-making.

In this role, Gissy will oversee all company operations, sales, and marketing. Gissy stated:

“It’s an honor to help lead this incredible organization and work side by side with the most talented group of Team Members in the industry. I am humbled to take on this responsibility from my mentor and friend for over forty years, David Siegel.”

Jim Gissy first joined Westgate Resorts in 1984 and was immediately setting sales records in the company and industry. He then expanded his management responsibilities which led to his promotion to Senior Executive Vice President. Gissy received the ARDY Award from ARDA in 1996 as Top Sales Executives. He received many other awards and accolades throughout his 40+ year career.

As he has done in the past, Siegel will continue playing an instrumental role in maintaining the company’s vision. His focus remains on finding ways to solve the opioid epidemic through Victoria’s Voice Foundation, in memory of his daughter. Siegel commented:

“Jim has been my right hand and friend going back forty years. Jim is an exceptional leader and I could not be happier to have him assume this role at my company. The future for Westgate is very bright!”
