Westgate Resorts has named longtime company executive Jim Gissy Chief Executive Officer. This was made effective on March 5, 2024. Company Founder, David Siegel, will remain Executive Board Chairman and President. He will also continue to be the leader in all major company decision-making.

As a result of its excellence in hospitality, dining, and travel and tourism, Westgate Park City Resort & Spa won in seven categories of the 2017 Best of State Awards.
For the fifth consecutive year, Westgate Park City Resort & Spa was deemed the Best Ski Resort in Utah based on its impeccable recognition of both its restaurants and spa.

David Siegel’s Westgate Resort Foundation recently announced their $1 million donation in grants to nonprofits that work to help children, homeless people, domestic violence survivors, and veterans. The news of the grants also marked the foundation’s 15th anniversary.

Roger B. Kennedy Construction company officially began a $24 million dollar project at Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa in Orlando, Florida. The building to be constructed is Building 70—an eight-story, 80-unit timeshare building. Kennedy Construction has done $300 million worth of projects at Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa and Westgate Resort in Kissimmee to date.
