Diamond Resorts Cabo Azul Announces Re-Opening

Diamond Resorts International® has announced that they will reopen the Cabo Azul Resort & Spa on September 1, 2015. The resort has been closed for 11 months following Hurricane Odile in September 2014.

Although the resort was damaged during the hurricane, the property has been renovated and is back in pristine condition. All buildings and the surrounding grounds were repaired while the property was closed. [Read more…]

Diamond Resorts Celebrates Earth Day

Diamond Resorts International® celebrated the 45th annual Earth Day on April 22nd, 2015.

The organization observed the holiday by planting a new tree at each of its resort destinations. This is the third consecutive year that Diamond has organized this “beautification” event around the globe.

Employees were encouraged to invite Diamond timeshare owners, members, and resort guests to the Earth Day celebration, allowing guests to participate in the planting process. That way, members could return to the resort to proudly visit the tree they helped plant year after year. [Read more…]

DRI Reveals Partnership with China Travel International and Dorsett Hospitality International

This week Diamond Resorts International (DRI) announced that they signed a joint venture agreement with China Travel International and Dorsett Hospitality International. Through this agreement, Diamond plans to create and sell Diamond timeshare in Asia, with the help of their new business partners.

The trio plans to develop China into a major market for vacation ownership. Over the past year, many timeshare groups including Marriott and RCI have announced plans to expand to China and other Asian countries. [Read more…]

Diamond Resorts Sponsors Wounded Warrior Chad Pfeifer in the 2015 Humana Challenge

Diamond Resorts International® has announced that they will sponsor wounded war veteran Chad Pfeifer as a brand ambassador in the upcoming Humana Challenge golf tournament.

Chad Pfeifer joined the U.S. Army shortly after graduating college. He quickly advanced to the rank of corporal and was deployed to Iraq in 2007 during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

While overseas, Pfeifer was injured. Pfeifer lost his leg when his vehicle was hit by a pressurized IED (more commonly known as a pressure cooker bomb). After the incident, Pfeifer returned to the States and began physical therapy. To exercise with his new prosthetic leg, he learned how to play golf. Pfeifer was a natural and quickly picked up the game. He then went on to win the George W. Bush Presidential Center Warrior Open in 2011, 2012, and 2013. [Read more…]
