Disney Introduces 22 New Parents to Disney Parks Moms Panel

This week, Disney announced the addition of 22 members to their 2015 Disney Parks Moms Panel. Established in 2008, the Disney Parks Moms Panel provides tips and information for vacationers traveling within any segment of Disney’s network.

Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration

Recently, Disneyland Resort announced that they will host a Diamond Celebration for the West Coast parks, featuring special parades, decorations, and a new fireworks display. Tom Staggs, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, made the announcement that the event will begin on Friday May 22, 2015.

Special decor for the event will include a “diamond” update to both the Carthay Circle Theatre in Disney California Adventure and the famous Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland Park.The two structures will glisten with diamond accents and feature a diamond “D” at the main entrances. DVC Announces the Opening of Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows

The Disney Vacation Club (DVC) has announced that the new bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Resort will open on April 1, 2015.
The “Bora Bora” Bungalows are part of the newest development for the Disney timeshare program and have been under construction for the past year.

In a recent press release, Senior VP and general manager of Disney Vacation Club, Ken Potrock said, “We’re looking forward to welcoming families to this enchanting new resort, located just a quick monorail ride from Magic Kingdom Park.” [Read more…]

Disney Plans to Expand Timeshare Resort Portfolio

Since their founding in 1991, the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) has grown to include 12 resorts in 5 destinations. As DVC continues to grow, timeshare resorts are becoming the bulk of Disney’s lodging portfolio.

While Disney has developed new properties to house timeshare units, many of Disney’s existing hotel rooms are being converted into timeshare suites. Disney’s Polynesian Resort is the latest hotel to undergo renovations, converting three towers into 360 timeshare villas. In addition, Disney has also built 20 bungalow units along the Seven Seas Lagoon. [Read more…]
