The Westin St. John Resort Villas has finally reopened after a 16-month-long recovery and restoration efforts after the damage caused by Hurricane Irma and Maria that hit the islands in September of 2017.

One of the leaders in the external exchange industry, Interval International, and other participating resort partners, have donated $15,000 to the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association Education Foundation (CHTAEF). This donation was made during the annual Caribbean Travel Marketplace conference in Jamaica.

Marriott International has made Jerome Briet the new Chief Development Officer for the Middle East and Africa. Briet will work to oversee and drive Marriott’s growth through new-build, conversion, and franchise opportunities across both new and established markets in these regions.

Marriott Vacations Worldwide is working to end hunger with their annual Harvest for Hunger food drive. This drive took place through the entire month of November and encouraged employees and guests at Marriott resorts to donate non perishable food items to benefit local banks.
