Vail Resorts has just announced the closing on their acquisition of Triple Peaks, LLC, the parent company of Okemo Mountain Resort in Vermont, Mount Sunapee Resort in New Hampshire, and Crested Butte Mountain Resort in Colorado. Triple Peaks, LLC was purchase from the Mueller family for approximately $74 million.

The Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced plans for Andaz Turks & Caicos at Grace Bay, a hotel and residences development. The property is expected to open in 2021 and will be the first Andaz brand hotel in the Caribbean. It will be developed by Vista Development Ltd. of Pronet Capital, LLC and will sit on 5.5 acres on the famous Grace Bay Beach.

In the second quarter of 2018, Hawaii timeshare occupancy is up 1.6 percentage points, to 91.5 percent. This statistic was reported in the Hawaii Timeshare Quarterly Report for April-June 2018 in the September 19 issue, put out by the Hawaii Tourism Authority.
