European Timeshare Leaders Meeting in Scotland

European Timeshare Leaders Meeting in Scotland

The Organisation for Timeshare in Europe met this week for their biennial United Kingdom conference. Held in Edinburgh on Thursday, the event was sponsored by Scottish Development International. It was particularly fitting to see the conference return to Scotland, since the first timeshare resort in the UK was opened in 1976 at Loch Rannoch.

The UK chairman of the Organisation for Timeshare in Europe, Frank Chapman, said, “I was fortunate enough to open the first timeshare resort in the UK at Loch Rannoch. At the time this was a completely novel concept in holiday home ownership in the UK and it has proved incredibly popular, with 115,000 week long holidays now taken every year in the UK.”

“Timeshare has thrived in Scotland because it offers a unique opportunity for both UK holiday makers and those from abroad to regularly visit and build up a relationship with some stunning properties and locations across the country. Scottish Timeshare provides some of the best facilities in the world and visitors are able to enjoy the best that Scotland has to offer: from the stunning lochs and mountains of the highlands to the vibrancy of culture in its cities.”

Topics of discussion for the meetings included:

  • Developments in digital and electronic marketing
  • The future of tourism in Scotland.
  • Design innovations and how the timeshare industry can learn from these.
  • And an open forum on what the Organisation for Timeshare in Europe can do for you.

The Organisation for Timeshare in Europe works to improve representation for reputable companies in the timeshare industry, and to promote fair-trading, equality within, and growth of the timeshare industry.

The OTE has 130 members from all parts of Europe, and includes timeshare resort developers, timeshare exchange companies, timeshare management and marketing companies, trustees, financial houses, and timeshare resale companies.

Timeshare Hot Property: Club Regina Los Cabos Timeshares

As promised, here is more information on the Sell My Timeshare NOW HOT 100 List, just released this week. In this annual review, we rank the top 100, most in-demand timeshare resales properties here at Sell My Timeshare NOW, based on the number of offers received to buy timeshare or rent timeshare.

Throughout the remainder of the year, our timeshare blog will profile each one of those 100 timeshare properties, starting today with Club Regina Los Cabos timeshare resort, ranked # 100 on the list.

Club Regina Los Cabos Luxury Timeshare Resales

Let’s start with the basics, that are so much more than “basic” at this resort. The 5-Star Club Regina Los Cabos is an RCI affiliated resort, located in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, not far from Cabo San Lucas.

The timeshare resort offers a private beach; a fitness center, sauna, Whirlpool/Hot Tub and spa; onsite medical facilities; four restaurants, three bars, a snack bar, and a deli; a Westin Kids Club and a children’s pool; laundry facilities; a grocery store; onsite auto rental; seven swimming pools, (two of which are infinity pools) and a pool bar; two tennis courts and an activities desk.

The resort is an architectural jewel, with many of the 130 timeshare condos having incredible ocean views. If you go for high-energy vacations, then plan on championship golf, parasailing, sport fishing, horseback righting, scuba diving, sea kayaking, waterskiing, jet skiing, snorkeling, tennis, and a range of extreme sports. If a more laidback vacation is to your liking, try pleasure fishing, a casual nine holes on the incredible nearby golf courses, seasonal whale watching, shopping, or just enjoying Club Regina Los Cabos timeshare’s pools and amenities.

Tips for Enjoying Your Club Regina Los Cabos Timeshare Even More

The steep hillside on which this timeshare vacation resort is located is the reason it affords such dramatic views. But the resort is large and sprawling and getting around means walking steep pathways around the resort or taking advantage of the free shuttle service, via golf carts, where the attendants are pleased to transport you about the property.

Also, some units do not have ovens; you will have to plan on baking cakes and cooking pot roasts during some other holiday. You will have a microwave and cook top, which for many people takes care of their vacation meal preparation needs. While you can shop for basics at the resort’s small grocery, you may find that it’s worth a trip to a larger store for stocking up. Both Costco and WalMart are nearby. Lastly, you will need a rental car or use of the timeshare resort’s vans to get around, unless you plan to stay solely on the property, which once you see it, may be exactly what you decide to do.

How to Find the Best Deals In Club Regina Los Cabos Resales and Rentals

Club Regina Los Cabos is part of the Raintree Vacation Club resorts, offering timeshare exchange at other Raintree destinations across Mexico, Canada, and the US, including Telluride, Whistler, Hawaii, and Palm Springs, to name a few. Hawaii Timeshare Dominates Top of HOT 100 List

Hawaii Timeshare Dominates Top of HOT 100 List

Yesterday our timeshare blog announced the release of the Sell My Timeshare NOW HOT 100 list, revealing the top 100 properties to receive offers to buy timeshare or rent timeshare in 2007. For properties on the HOT 100 list, there were over 48,000 offers to buy or rent placed last year alone.

While we noted that Hawaii timeshares claimed 4 of the top 10 spots on the HOT 100 list, I didn’t go into detail about how strongly Hawaii dominates the top of the list.

Hawaii timeshares start with the HOT 100’s number one property, WorldMark by Wyndham, multi-destination resorts because four of WorldMark by Wyndham’s 60+ timeshare resorts are in Hawaii. There is the: WorldMark by Wyndham Kapaa Shore timeshare resort; the WorldMark by Wyndham Valley Isle in Lahaina timeshare resort; the WorldMark by Wyndham Kihei timeshare resort; and the WorldMark by Wyndham Kona in Kailua-Kona timeshare resort.

As I mentioned in our timeshare blog yesterday, Hawaii timeshares also claimed second place on the list with the Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas; fifth place with Diamond Resorts Ka’anapali Beach Club; sixth with Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club timeshares; and tenth with the Ko Olina Beach Club timeshares.

But Hawaii timeshares accounts for over 27 percent all timeshare resorts among the top 33 properties on the list. The Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas North timeshares, ranked 21; the Sands of Kahana Vacation Club timeshares, was number 24; Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Hilton Hawaiian Village was number 29; and Marriott’s OceanWatch Villas timeshares ranked number 33.

Why Hawaii Timeshare?

America’s fiftieth state may be small, but in terms of what you get for your vacation dollar, it packs a punch. A Hawaii timeshare vacation means you can enjoy your choice of tropical forests, mountains, beautiful beaches, a cosmopolitan (Hawaii-style) nightlife, or a chance to explore a fascinating culture.

The diverse islands of Hawaii cater to honeymooners, surfers, retirees, family vacations, and everyone seeking the peaceful, laidback style of the islands.

While many of the first timeshares in the US were built in Hawaii, it has never lost its place as a top demand timeshare vacation destination. But let’s face it, Hawaii is one of the more expensive places to live or to visit on holiday because it is a small cluster of beautiful but relatively isolated islands, where most goods must be imported. When you add to that the fact that limited geographic area keeps land values for development very high, the cost of that fabulous Hawaii vacation can be pricey.

While you can’t cut costs by driving there instead of flying or going by cruise ship, you can take advantage of Hawaii timeshare resales to help you control two other vacation costs – meals and accommodations. The kitchen and dining areas found in most timeshares will let you choose to eat in as much as you like and save your restaurant dining for those special luaus. And when you buy Hawaii timeshare resales, you lock the price of your Hawaii vacation lodging in for as long as you own your timeshare. When you do get ready to resell Hawaii timeshare, you can do so with confidence, using indicators like the Sell My Timeshare NOW HOT 100 list to affirm that there is a strong and consistent market for Hawaii timeshare resales.

Sell My Timeshare NOW Releases HOT 100 List

Sell My Timeshare NOW's HOT 100 list of timeshare resales and timeshare rentals

Sell My Timeshare NOW has just released its HOT 100 list featuring the timeshare resales and timeshare rentals that received the most offers to buy through our company in 2007 – more than 48,000 offers to buy timeshare or rent timeshare on properties at these 100 resorts alone!

Some interesting trends are evidenced in the list, including just how stable the top ten properties have been over the past year. The 8 timeshare resorts that top the list this year, all made the top 10 last year. Noteworthy is the jump WorldMark by Wyndham, multi-destination timeshare made from seventh on the previous list, to claim the top spot at number one for this year.

Two other trends are also shown. First, Hawaii timeshares claimed four places among the top ten: Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas in second place on the list; Diamond Resorts Ka’anapali Beach Club in fifth place; Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club timeshares in sixth; and the Ko Olina Beach Club timeshares, new to the top ten list this year, claiming the tenth spot. WorldMark by Wyndham’s multi-destination timeshare locations includes 4 resorts in Hawaii: Kapaa Shore; Valley Isle in Lahaina; Kihei; and Kona in Kailua-Kona.

The other trend that the HOT 100 list reveals is that Marriott is clearly a favorite timeshare brand, with Maui Ocean Club, Marriott’s Aruba Surf Club, Newport Coast Villas, and Ko Olina Beach Club and all making the top ten list.
