A Free Pass to Disney to Go With Your Disney Vacation Club Timeshare

A Free Pass to Disney to Go With Your Disney Vacation Club Timeshare

No, I am not writing about those free or discounted theme park tickets sometimes distributed in return for your willingness to sit through a timeshare sales presentation. I am talking about a program that has genuine social value and great personal reward as well as the benefit of a free Walt Disney theme park admission.

Beginning on January 1, 2010, you can receive one free, single-day admission to a Walt Disney World® Resort or Disneyland® Resort theme park when you complete a day of volunteerism at a select charity.

The program is called, “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day,” and provides for the distribution of one million one-day one-park tickets. While you can only receive one ticket per person, no matter how often you volunteer next year, there is nothing to stop an entire family from earning their Disney reward. For a family of four vacationing at Disney Orlando, this would be a vacation savings of almost $320 in park admissions alone.

Jay Rasulo, chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts says, “The thrust of this program is really about inspiring people to consider and participate in volunteerism, with the hope that that will become a way of life for them.” He adds, “We think, in this case, that doing good for our communities is good business.”

Timeshare Resales and Disney Days Add Up to Vacation Savings

So why not plan ahead? Get your name on the list to receive one of the one million tickets, do your volunteer work, and then schedule an Orlando timeshare resale or Orlando timeshare rental (either at a Disney timeshare or any of hundreds of other Central Florida timeshare resorts). Or visit Mickey’s original home at Disneyland California, and vacation in a California timeshare resale. You’ll be looking at a great family vacation at a very reasonable price.

Note: Eligible volunteer opportunities are located in the United States, including Puerto Rico, or Canada only and you must have a residence in the United States, Puerto Rico, or Canada to sign up. While timeshares offer great savings in vacation accommodations, there is no connection or requirement regarding your Disney pass and any accommodations you might select.

The Today Show’s Real Estate Expert Who Suggests Sell My Timeshare NOW, a Star on Shark Tank

Did you see Tuesday night’s episode of Shark Tank on ABC? Inventors and entrepreneurs present their ideas to a panel of multimillionaire investors, with each entrepreneur hoping to secure backing for his or her fledgling business.

Yes, there are some similar shows (or have been in the past) but this one has more personality and zip and perhaps will make a bigger hit with audiences and claim higher ratings. Our interest in the show was captured when we realized that included among the board of millionaire expert investors is Real Estate Mogul Barbara Corcoran – the same Barbara Corcoran who last year told millions of viewers on The Today Show that the best place to sell timeshare is online.

Corcoran went on to identify during her The Today Show interview, that there are a “couple of websites that sell timeshares only” and then named SellMyTimeshareNOW.com. Follow this link to learn more about Barbara Corcoran’s wisdom on the best way to sell timeshare.

And, for the fun of it, watch this video from Shark Tank:

Last week Disney opened the Grand Californian Hotel in Anaheim, complete with 203 rooms and 50 Disney timeshare villas, including two grand villas that are over 2400 square feet each and sleep twelve.

Hotel consultant Alan Reay says he expects the new Disney timeshares to perform well, even though timeshares are struggling elsewhere.

“This is sort of a unique situation. … The park is a highly desirable location for families,” said Reay, president of Atlas Hospitality Group in Irvine. “I think they will do well in the U.S. market.”

Disney Timeshare President Calls Business “Resilient”

Disney Vacation Club has around 440,000 members, which is roughly twice as many as it had four years ago. In an interview with the OC Register, Jim Lewis, president of Disney Vacation Club timeshare, explains that guests continue to enjoy timeshare vacations even during bad economic times because they are paying (or have already paid) for their vacation ownership.

Perhaps adding to the incentive to take a timeshare vacation is the fact that restaurants and other attractions are offering discounts to draw more business during these tight economic times. Many timeshare vacationers appear to be taking advantage of the deals.

“Even in a difficult economy, the business has proven itself to be resilient,” Lewis says.

Yes, there are marked declines in timeshare sales, but for targeted products such as Disney timeshares and other popular travel destinations, timeshare sales and timeshare resales remain strong.
